आदिबासि कुड़मि समाज के जनसभा में कुड़मियों ने भरी हुंकार, कहा – हर हाल में लेकर रहेंगे जनजाति का दर्जा

सरायकेला – खरसवां : जिले के नीमडीह प्रखंड अंतर्गत झिमड़ी में आदिबासि कुड़मि समाज के बैनर तले विशाल जनसभा का आयोजन हुआ। इस जनसभा में झारखंड, पश्चिम बंगाल तथा ओड़िशा से आए हुए कुड़मी समाज के नेताओं ने हुंकार भरी। वहीं, हर हाल में जनजाति का दर्जा लेने का संकल्प लिया।

आदिबासि कुड़मि समाज के जिला प्रभारी प्रभात कुमार महतो की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित जनसभा में झाड़खंड, पश्चिम बंगाल, ओडिशा आदि क्षेत्रों से हजारों की संख्या में कुड़मी समुदाय के बुद्धिजीवी सह सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता सम्मिलित हुए। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि रेल रोको आंदोलन के पुरोधा सह आदिवासी कुड़मी समाज के मुलखुंटी मुलमान्ता अजीत प्रसाद महतो ने जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि कुड़मी समाज अपना अस्तित्व और अधिकार की लड़ाई में जन आंदोलन कर समाज को जागरूक कर रहा है। हमारे आंदोलन का मुख्य उद्देश्य कुड़मी समुदाय को अनुसूचित जनजाति में सूचीबद्ध कराना, कुड़माली भाषा को आठवीं अनुसूची में शामिल कराना तथा सारना धर्म कोड लागू कराना। उन्होंने कहा कि अब कुछ दिनों से तथाकथित आदिवासी लोग कुड़मियों का इतिहास बिना जाने, बिना पढ़े अनर्गल बयान बाजी कर रहे हैं, जो सरासर प्रायोजित किसी न किसी राजनैतिक फायदा लेने में लगे हैं। इस तरह से हमारे आंदोलन को दिशा से भटकाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि कुड़मी समाज अब जाग चुकी है, कितने ही बाधा आये, हम अपना अधिकार ले कर ही रहेंगे, हम हर हाल में अनुसूचित जनजाति का दर्जा लेंगे।

अजीत महतो ने कहा कि इसके लिए तीनों राज्यों का ऐतिहासिक रेल रोको आंदोलन में जो सफलताएं हासिल हुई उसकी समीक्षा एवं आगे की रणनीति पर रुपरेखा तैयार किया गया है। इस अवसर पर अजीत महतो ने झारखंड और ओडिशा के आंदोलन को पूर्ण सफल बनाने के लिए आगे की कार्यक्रम की घोषणाएं की गई। बताया गया कि आगामी 31 जनवरी को झारखंड और ओडिशा राज्य के सभी प्रखंड में एक साथ डेपुटेशन दिया जाएगा। वहीं, 27 मार्च 2023 को झारखंड और ओडिशा राज्य के सभी जिलों में एक साथ डेपुटेशन देना है। मानसून सत्र में झारखंड और ओडिशा राज्य में विधानसभा घेराव और तब तक अगर कुड़मी जनजाति को एसटी सूची में सूचीबद्ध न होने पर झारखंड और ओडिशा राज्य में 20 सितंबर 2023 से पुनः आर्थिक नाकेबंदी सहित अनिश्चितकालीन डहर छेंका/ रेल टेका (रोको) आंदोलन जारी रहेगा। इसके लिए गांवों, मुहल्ले, कस्बे एवं शहरों में आंधी की तरह प्रचार प्रसार चल रहा है।

जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए पूर्व सांसद शैलेंद्र महतो ने कहा कि झारखंड राज्य बनने के 3 वर्ष बाद 23 नवंबर 2004 को अर्जुन मुंडा सरकार ने कुड़मी जनजाति को अनुसूचित जनजाति में शामिल करने का अनुशंसा किया था। वर्तमान में अर्जुन मुंडा स्वयं केंद्र सरकार में जनजाति मंत्री हैं। शैलेन्द्र महतो ने कहा कि अर्जुन मुंडा ने पिछले दिनों 12 जनजाति को अनुसूचित जनजाति का दर्जा दिया। लेकिन 2004 में स्वयं द्वारा अनुशंसित किए गए मामले, कुड़मी जनजाति को छोड़ दिया। इसलिए आज हमारी आंदोलन निरंतर जारी है।

कुड़मियों के आंदोलन को दबाने का काम कर रहे मुंडा : हरमोहन

आदिबासि कुड़मी समाज के केंद्रीय प्रवक्ता हरमोहन महतो ने कहा कि कुड़मी जनजाति का अनुसूचित जनजाति में सूचीबद्ध करने का मांग नया नहीं है, यह मांग बहुत पहले से चलती आ रही है। हरमोहन महतो ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि कुड़मियों के आंदोलन को दबाने का काम केंद्रीय मंत्री अर्जुन मुंडा द्वारा किया जा रहा है। उन्हें मालूम होना चाहिए कि आज लोकसभा एवं राज्यसभा तथा हमारे राज्य के विधानसभा में हमारे मांगों को लेकर प्रखर रुप से आवाज उठ रही है।

कुड़मी समाज के केंद्रीय महासचिव अधिवक्ता सुनील कुमार गुलिआर जनसभा को संबोधित करते कहा कि 1950 से पहले झाड़खंड, पश्चिम बंगाल, उड़ीसा और असम के टोटेमिक कुड़मी जनजाति देश की आजादी से पहले प्रिमिटिव ट्राइब्स (आदिम जनजाति) में सूचीबद्ध था। लेकिन, जब अनुसूचित जनजाति का सूची तैयार हुआ तब सिर्फ कुड़मी को छोड़कर सभी आदिम जनजातियों को अनुसूचित जनजाति की सूची में सूचीबद्ध किया गया। उस समय से अब तक 72 वषों से लगातार कुड़मी जनजाति एसटी सूची में सूचीबद्ध करने हेतु आंदोलनरत हैं। इसे पुनः स्थापित करना हमारे समाज का मौलिक कर्तव्य हैं ।

जनसभा को केंद्रीय अध्यक्ष शशांक शेखर महतो, महासचिव सुनील कुमार गुलिआर, प्रदेश अध्यक्ष पद्मलोचन महतो, केंद्रीय सह सचिव जयराम महतो, ओडिशा राज्य प्रभारी सशधर काड़ुआर, अशोक पुनअरिआर, गुणधाम मुतरुआर, विश्वरंजन महतो उर्फ कार्तिक महतो, निवारण महतो, उपेन चन्द्र महतो, ज्ञान चन्द्र महतो आदि ने भी संबोधित किया।

Seraikela-Kharswan: A huge public meeting was organized under the banner of Adibasi Kudmi Samaj at Jhimdi under Neemdih block of the district. Leaders of Kudmi community who came from Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha raised their voice in this public meeting. At the same time, resolved to take the status of tribe in every situation.

Thousands of intellectuals cum social workers of Kudmi community from Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha etc. participated in the public meeting organized under the chairmanship of Prabhat Kumar Mahto, district in-charge of Adibasi Kudmi Samaj. The chief guest of the program, Mulkhunti Mulmanta Ajit Prasad Mahato of tribal Kudmi Samaj, the pioneer of Rail Roko Andolan, while addressing the public meeting said that Kudmi Samaj is making the society aware by conducting mass movement in the fight for its existence and rights. The main objective of our movement is to get the Kudmi community listed in the Scheduled Tribe, to include Kudmali language in the Eighth Schedule and to implement the Sarna Dharma Code. He said that for a few days now the so-called tribal people are making unrestrained statements without knowing the history of Kudmis, without reading them, who are totally engaged in taking some or the other sponsored political advantage. In this way, efforts are being made to divert our movement from its direction. He said that the Kudmi community has now awakened, no matter how many obstacles come, we will take our rights, we will take the status of Scheduled Tribe in any situation.

Ajit Mahato said that for this the success achieved in the historic rail stop movement of the three states has been reviewed and an outline has been prepared on the future strategy. On this occasion, Ajit Mahato announced further programs to make the movement of Jharkhand and Odisha a complete success. It was told that on coming January 31, deputation will be given simultaneously in all the blocks of Jharkhand and Odisha state. At the same time, on March 27, 2023, deputation is to be given simultaneously in all the districts of Jharkhand and Odisha state. Indefinite Dahar Chhenka/Rail Teka (Stop) movement will continue in the state of Jharkhand and Odisha in the Monsoon session including assembly gherao and economic blockade again from 20 September 2023 in the state of Jharkhand and Odisha if the Kudmi tribe is not listed in the ST list. For this, propaganda is going on like a storm in villages, localities, towns and cities.

Addressing the public meeting, former MP Shailendra Mahato said that on November 23, 2004, three years after the formation of Jharkhand state, the Arjun Munda government had recommended the inclusion of Kudmi tribe in the Scheduled Tribe. Presently Arjun Munda himself is the Tribal Minister in the Central Government. Shailendra Mahato said that Arjun Munda had recently given Scheduled Tribe status to 12 tribes. But the case, recommended by itself in 2004, left the Kudmi tribe. That’s why our movement continues today.

Munda is working to suppress the movement of Kudmis: Harmohan

Adibasi Kudmi Samaj’s central spokesperson Harmohan Mahato said that the demand for listing of Kudmi tribe in Scheduled Tribe is not new, this demand has been going on since long. Harmohan Mahato alleged that the work of suppressing the movement of Kudmis is being done by Union Minister Arjun Munda. They should know that today in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and in the Vidhansabha of our state, there is a strong voice for our demands.

Union General Secretary of Kudmi Samaj, Advocate Sunil Kumar Guliyar while addressing the public meeting said that before 1950, the totemic Kudmi tribe of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa and Assam was listed in the primitive tribes before the independence of the country. But, when the list of Scheduled Tribes was prepared, all the primitive tribes except Kudmi were listed in the list of Scheduled Tribes. From that time till now, for 72 years, the Kudmi tribe has been continuously agitating to be listed in the ST list. It is the fundamental duty of our society to restore it.

The public meeting was attended by Central President Shashank Shekhar Mahato, General Secretary Sunil Kumar Gulyar, State President Padmallochan Mahato, Central Co-Secretary Jairam Mahato, Odisha State Incharge Sashadhar Kaduar, Ashok Punariyar, Gundham Mutaruar, Vishwaranjan Mahato alias Kartik Mahato, Nivaran Mahato, Upen Chandra Mahato, Gyan Chandra Mahato etc. also addressed.
