कानपुर में मिला हिमालय की चोटी पर पाया जाने वाला दुर्लभ प्रजाति का सफेद गिद्ध, देखने वालों का लगा तांता
Kanpur News; कानपुर जिले में एक दुर्लभ प्रजाति का एक सफेद गिद्ध मिला है, बताया जा रहा है कि यह हिमालय की 13 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर पाया जाता है. इस गिद्ध के पंख लगभग पांच-पांच फीट के हैं.
कानपुर:धरती की प्राकृतिक सफाईकर्मी और वातावरण को बेहतर बनाने की भूमिका निभाने वाले गिद्धों की संख्या तेजी से कम हो रही है. कानपुर में एक गिद्ध चर्चा का विषय बना हुआ है. जिसे बड़ी ईदगाह के कब्रिस्तान में कुछ लोगों ने पकड़ लिया. बताया जा रहा है कि यह एक विलुप्त हो चुका गिद्ध है, जो हिमालय की 13 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर पाया जाता रहा है और अब संभवतः विलुप्त प्राय हो चुका है.
कानपुर में मिले गिद्ध के पंख पांच-पांच फीट के बताए जा रहे हैं. दरअसल देश में गिद्ध विलुप्त श्रेणी में आ गए हैं. सरकार इनके संरक्षण के लिए कई योजनाएं भी चला रही है. ऐसे में उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर में मिले गिद्ध की खबर काफी अहम है. यहां के ईदगाह कब्रिस्तान में एक सफेद हिमालयन गिद्ध मिला है, जिसे पकड़कर पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया गया है. इस गिद्ध के पंख लगभग पांच-पांच फीट के हैं.
अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि गिद्ध प्रौढ़ है, यहां गिद्ध का जोड़ा कई दिन से डेरा डाले था. बताया जा रहा है कि गिद्ध की पहचान करने के बाद ईदगाह में रहने वाले सफीक नाम के युवक ने अन्य 5 लोगों के साथ मिलकर बड़ी चादर तानकर उसे पकड़ा है. सफेद गिद्ध को देखने के लिए सैकड़ों लोगों की भीड़ जमा हो गई.
क्यों जरूरी मानने जाते हैं गिद्ध
दरअसल, गिद्ध मृत जानवरों के शरीर को भोजन बनाकर वातवरण में होने वाले प्रदूषण से बचाते हैं. जिसकी वजह से अन्य जीव भी आराम से जीवनयापन करने हैं. लेकिन गिद्धों का यह खास गुण उनके लिए जानलेवा साबित हो रहा है. जानवरों की बीमारी में दी जाने वाली डाइक्लोफेनेक नामक दवा उनकी मौत के कारण के तौर पर देखी जाती है. यह दवा मृत जानवरों की बॉडी में रह जाती है, जिसको खाने की वजह से गिद्धों के गुर्दे और लिवर खराब हो जाते हैं, और उनकी मौत हो जाती है.
