हाथियों ने चार घरों को तोड़कर किया क्षतिग्रस्त
ईचागढ़ – सरायकेला खरसावां जिला के ईचागढ़ प्रखंड क्षेत्र के जाहेरडीह एवं मानकीडीह में गुरुवार की देर रात को हाथियों ने जमकर उत्पात मचाया । हाथियों ने जाहीरडीह में मोतीलाल प्रामाणिक ,फटीट चन्द्र प्रामाणिक, दुर्योधन नापीत एवं मानकीडीह में भाषाण मांझी का घर को तोड़कर क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। हाथियों ने घर तोड़कर घर में रखे धान व चावलों को चट कर गया। सुचना मिलते ही मुखिया किसुन किस्कू,पंसस सुरेन्द्र नाथ मांझी, व वार्ड सदस्य ने शुक्रवार को गांव पहुंचकर क्षतिग्रस्त घरों का जायजा लिया । मुखिया ने पीड़ित परिवारों को क्षतिग्रस्त घरों का जल्द मुआवजा देने का मांग किया । मुखिया किसुन किस्कू ने बताया कि 10-12 हाथियों का झुंड ने चार घरों को तोड़कर अनाजों को चट कर गया। उन्होंने कहा कि हाथियों का झुंड बगल के गांवों में डेरा डाले हुए हैं, जिससे क्षेत्र में लोग दहशत के साए में रात काट रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि वन विभाग क्षतिग्रस्त घरों का मुआवजा जल्द भुगतान करें, चूंकि अभी बर्षात का मौसम है लोगों को घरों का मरम्मती जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि वन विभाग हाथियों को क्षेत्र से भगाएं।
Ichagarh – In Jaherdih and Mankidih of Ichagarh block area of Seraikela Kharsawan district, elephants created havoc late on Thursday night. Elephants broke down and damaged the houses of Motilal Pramanik, Phateet Chandra Pramanik, Duryodhan Napeet in Bharidih and Bhashan Manjhi in Mankidih. Elephants broke into the house and licked the paddy and rice kept in the house. As soon as the information was received, Chief Kisun Kisku, Pansas Surendra Nath Manjhi, and ward members reached the village on Friday and took stock of the damaged houses. The chief demanded immediate compensation for the damaged houses to the affected families. Chief Kisun Kisku told that a herd of 10-12 elephants destroyed four houses and licked the grains. He said herds of elephants were camping in the neighboring villages, causing panic among the people in the area. He said that the Forest Department should pay the compensation for the damaged houses soon, as it is the rainy season, people need to repair their houses. He said that the forest department should drive away the elephants from the area.
