संकट में अंटार्कटिका समुद्री-बर्फ रिकॉर्ड निचले स्तर पर पहुंची 40 साल बाद दिखा ऐसा नजारा

अमेरिकी शोधकर्ताओं ने चेतावनी दी है कि अंटार्कटिक समुद्री बर्फ पिछले सप्ताह रिकॉर्ड निचले स्तर तक सिकुड़ सकती है। सैटेलाइट डाटा के मुताबिक पिछले 45 सालों में यहां बहुत परिवर्तन देखा गया है।कुछ वैज्ञानिकों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यह चौंकाने वाली गिरावट एक संकेत है कि जलवायु संकट इस बर्फीले क्षेत्र को अधिक गंभीरता से प्रभावित कर सकता है। ग्लोबल वॉर्मिंग इसका सबसे बड़ा कारण हैं। विशेषज्ञ तो ये भी चेतावनी दे चुके है कि सदी के अंत तक दुनिया के आधे से ज्यादा ग्लेशियर विलुप्त हो जाएंगे। इससे समुद्र का स्तर भी बढ़ सकता है।
