भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम और इंग्लैंड महिला टीम के बीच मुंबई के डीवाई पाटिल स्टेडियम में एकमात्र टेस्ट मैच खेला गया. हरमनप्रीत कौर की कप्तानी में भारत ने इंग्लैंड को 347 रनों से बड़े अंतर से हरा दिया. मेजबान टीम ने इंग्लैंड को जीत के लिए 479 रनों का लक्ष्य दिया था. इसके जवाब में इंग्लैंड के सभी बल्लेबाज 131 रनों पर ही पवेलियन लौट गए. पहली पारी में भी इंग्लैंड की टीम मात्र 136 रनों पर ही ऑलआउट हो गई थी. इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ भारतीय महिलाओं ने पहली बार अपने घर में टेस्ट मैच जीता है.
दीप्ति शर्मा को मिला ‘POTM’
इस मैच में टीम इंडिया की ऑलराउंडर दीप्ति शर्मा ने दोनों ही पारियों में कमाल का प्रदर्शन हुए 87 रन बनाए और 9 विकेट भी झटके. इस मैच विनिंग प्रदर्शन के लिए उन्हें प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच चुना गया. पहली पारी में बल्लेबाजी करते हुए दीप्ति शर्मा ने 67 रनों की शानदार अर्धशतकीय पारी खेली. इस पारी में उनके बल्ले से 10 चौके और 1 छक्का भी निकला. वहीं, गेंदबाजी करते हुए उन्होंने 5 विकेट हॉल अपने नाम किया. दूसरी पारी में भी वह 4 विकेट लेने में कामयाब रहीं. वहीं, बल्लेबाजी करते हुए उन्होंने 20 रन बनाए थे.
