जियो और एयरटेल अपने 5G प्लान्स को साल 2024 की दूसरी छमाही में लॉन्च कर सकते हैं।कंपनियां रिचार्ज प्लान की कीमत बढ़ाकर अपने ARPU (एवरेज रेवेन्यू पर यूजर) को बढ़ाना चाहती हैं, जिससे इन्वेस्टमेंट को रिकवर किया जा सके. इसके अलावा कंपनियां स्टैंडर्ड 4G प्लान्स के मुकाबले 30 परसेंट ज्यादा डेटा प्रदान करेंगी. सामान्य तौर पर कंपनी 1.5GB और 3GB डेली डेटा वाले प्लान्स ऑफर करती है।चूंकि 5G सर्विस पर यूजर्स को ज्यादा डेटा मिलेगा, तो निश्चित तौर पर उनका डेटा कंजम्पशन बढ़ेगा. कंपनी मौजूदा 4G प्लान्स की कीमत में भी इजाफा कर सकती है. बता दें कि भारत में दुनिया के किसी भी देश के मुकाबले ज्यादा तेजी से 5G नेटवर्क रोलआउट हुआ है. यहां कंपनियों ने एक साल के अंदर 10 करोड़ यूजर्स जोड़ लिए हैं।हालांकि, दोनों ही टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटर्स ने अभी तक इस सर्विस को मोनेटाइज नहीं किया है। दोनों ही इसे कॉम्प्लिमेंटरी सर्विस के रूप में ऑफर कर रहे हैं। यानी नए प्लान्स के बाद आपको 5G डेटा के लिए पैसे खर्च करने होंगे। अभी अनलिमिटेड 5G डेटा यूजर्स को फ्री में मिल रहा है।
