भाजपा के विद्युत महतो को हराने के लिए झामुमो को जमशेदपुर लोकसभा सीट से महतो उम्मीदवार की तलाश
जमशेदपुर : यह महसूस करते हुए कि जमशेदपुर लोकसभा सीट पर जीत के लिए महतो वोट एक निर्णायक कारक हैं, माना जाता है कि झामुमो ने समुदाय से एक उपयुक्त उम्मीदवार को मैदान में उतारने के लिए विचार करना शुरू कर दिया है। चूंकि कांग्रेस के पास कोई उपयुक्त महतो चेहरा नहीं है, ऐसे उम्मीदवार को मैदान में उतारने की जिम्मेदारी झामुमो के कंधे पर है, जो भाजपा के मौजूदा विद्युत बरन महतो से जमशेदपुर लोकसभा सीट छीनने पर आमादा है।
हालाँकि I.N.D.I. गठबंधन ने अभी तक झारखंड में सीट बंटवारे की प्रक्रिया को अंतिम रूप नहीं दिया है, झामुमो ने सिंहभूम और जमशेदपुर लोकसभा सीटों पर अपने उम्मीदवार उतारने का फैसला किया है। जबकि खरसावां विधायक, झामुमो के दशरथ गगराई सिंहभूम सीट के लिए गठबंधन के उम्मीदवार होने की संभावना है, पार्टी इस बात को लेकर असमंजस में है कि जमशेदपुर सीट के लिए संभावित उम्मीदवार के रूप में आष्टिक महतो या पूर्व सांसद सुमन महतो का चयन किया जाए या नहीं।
स्थानीय राजनीति के जानकार सूत्रों का कहना है कि बाबू महतो के नाम से मशहूर आष्टिक महतो झामुमो की ओर से जमशेदपुर सीट के लिए बेहतर उम्मीदवार हो सकते हैं। “लेकिन जहां तक जमशेदपुर सीट जीतने की संभावना का सवाल है, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र में किए गए कार्यों और उनकी लोकप्रियता को देखते हुए, बाबू महतो भी मौजूदा भाजपा सांसद विद्युत वरण महतो की तुलना में कमजोर उम्मीदवार लगते हैं।”
ज्ञात हो कि विद्युत महतो मुसीबत में फंसे लोगों की मदद के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहते हैं और उन्होंने इस लोकसभा क्षेत्र के शहरी और ग्रामीण इलाकों के निवासियों के लिए एक भरोसेमंद नेता के रूप में ख्याति अर्जित की है।
नब्बे के दशक की शुरुआत में झामुमो के एक मजबूत क्षेत्रीय पार्टी के रूप में अस्तित्व में आने के बाद, शैलेंद्र महतो, आभा महतो, सुनील महतो, सुमन महतो और विद्युत वरण महतो सहित महतो आठ बार जमशेदपुर लोकसभा क्षेत्र से चुने गए हैं। इस अवधि में महतो के अलावा अन्य उम्मीदवार नितिश भारद्वाज, डॉ अजय कुमार और अर्जुन मुंडा यहां से संसद पहुंचे। 2019 के आम चुनाव में मुख्यमंत्री चंपई सोरेन को जमशेदपुर सीट से विद्युत बरन महतो के खिलाफ खड़ा किया गया था और उन्हें भारी हार का सामना करना पड़ा था।

Apart from Mahato, other candidates Nitish Bhardwaj, Dr. Ajay Kumar and Arjun Munda reached Parliament from here during this period.
