बिहार का एक ऐसा गांव जहां होली मनाने से डरते हैं लोग, यहां 200 वर्षों से नहीं मनाई जाती होली

बिहार : रंगों के त्योहार होली में आम से खास लोग एक -दूसरे को अबीर-गुलाल लगाकर खुशियां मनाते हैं. हर तरफ जश्न का माहौल देखने को मिलता है. लेकिन, बिहार में एक ऐसा गांव है, जहां 200 वर्षों से अधिक से होली नहीं मनायी जाती है.

मुंगेर जिले के सती स्थान गांव में होली के दिन सन्नाटा पसरा रहता है. यहां के लोग न केवल खूद को रंगों से दूर रखते हैं बल्कि इनके घरों में होली का पकवान भी नहीं बनाया जाता.

200 वर्षों से नहीं मनायी जाती है होली
मुंगेर जिला मुख्यालय से करीब 50 किमी दूर बसे इस गांव में होली का दिन भी आम दिनों की तरह ही गुजरता है. यहां के लोगों के लिए होली जैसा कोई त्योहार ही नहीं होता है. इतना ही नहीं सती स्थान गांव के लोग जो किसी दूसरे गांव या शहर में जा कर बस गए हो, वो भी होली नहीं मनाते हैं. दूसरे गांव के लोग भी इस गांव के लोगों को रंग नहीं लगाते हैं. यहां होली नहीं मनाने की यह प्रथा 200 वर्षों से भी ज्यादा पुरानी है.

क्यों नहीं मनाते होली
ग्रामीणों ने होली नहीं मनाने के पीछे की वजह बताते हुए कहा कि पौराणिक मान्यता है कि गांव में एक वृद्ध दंपति रहा करते थे. समय बीतने के साथ फाल्गुन महीने में होलीका दहन के दिन पति की मौत हो गयी. जिसके बाद पत्नी ने अपने पति के साथ सती होने की इच्छा जताई और फिर अपने पति की चिता में सती भी हो गयी. बाद में ग्रामीणों के सहयोग से जिस जगह यह घटना घटी थी वहीं सती स्थल पर एक मंदिर का निर्माण कराया गया. इस गांव का नाम सती स्थान भी उसी घटना के बाद रखा गया.

अनहोनी का रहता है डर
गांव के बुजुर्ग बताते हैं कि फाल्गुन महीने में मां सती हुई थी इसलिए गांव में होली नहीं मनाई जाती है न पकवान बनाई जाती है. ग्रामीण बताते हैं कि गांव के कई लोग दूसरे गांव और शहर में जाकर घर बना चुके हैं. लेकिन वो भी वहां होली नहीं मनाते हैं. जिसने भी इस परंपरा को तोड़ने का प्रयास किया है उसके घर में आग लग जाती है या फिर कोई अनहोनी घटना हो जाती है. इसी विपत्ति के डर से इस गांव का कोई भी व्यक्ति होली नहीं मनाता.

The people of other villages also do not apply color to the people of this village. This practice of not celebrating Holi here is more than 200 years old.

Explaining the reason behind not celebrating Holi, the villagers said that it is a mythological belief that an old couple used to live in the village. With the passage of time, the husband died on the day of Holika Dahan in the month of Phalgun. After which the wife expressed her desire to commit Sati with her husband and then she also became Sati in her husband’s funeral pyre. Later, with the help of the villagers, a temple was built at the place where this incident took place. This village was also named Sati Sthan after the same incident.

The elders of the village tell that in the month of Phalgun, the mother was satiated, so Holi is not celebrated in the village, nor is the dish prepared. Villagers tell that many people of the village have gone to other villages and cities and made houses. But they also do not celebrate Holi there. Whoever tries to break this tradition, his house catches fire or some untoward incident happens. Due to the fear of this calamity, no one in this village celebrates Holi.
