नौ साल पुराने जय प्रकाश सिंह हत्याकांड मामले में 13 फरवरी को आरा कोर्ट ने सीपीआई (एमएल) नेता और विधायक मनोज मंजिल को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई थी.
मनोज मंजिल 2020 में भोजपुर जिले के अगिआंवां से विधायक बने. आरा कोर्ट में सतेंद्र सिंह एडीजे-तृतीय ने मनोज मंजिल समेत 23 दोषियों को दोषी करार देते हुए आजीवन कारावास की कठोर सजा सुनाई है. कोर्ट के आदेश के तुरंत बाद मनोज को पुलिस हिरासत में ले लिया गया. फैसले के बाद मनोज मंज़िल को अपनी विधायकी गंवानी पड़ेगी और विधायी निकाय से अयोग्यता का सामना करना पड़ेगा। मंज़िल पर 25,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया।
2015 में आरा में हुए जेपी सिंह हत्याकांड में मनोज मंजिल समेत 23 लोगों को फंसाया गया था. मुकदमे का सामना करने के दौरान एक दोषी की अदालत में मौत हो गई। 20 अगस्त 2015 को जेपी सिंह की हत्या से बिहार में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई थी. करीब 9 साल बाद आखिरकार आरा कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला सुना दिया. मंजिल ने इस फैसले के खिलाफ पटना उच्च न्यायालय में अपील करने की योजना बनाई है। द्वारा वकील अहमद
Bihar MLA gets life imprisonment in Nine old year JP Singh murder case.
A CPI (ML) leader and MLA Manoj Manzil was sentenced to life in the nine year old Jay Prakash Singh murder case on February 13 by the Ara court.
Manoj Manzil became MLA in 2020 from Agianwan in Bhojpur district. Manoj Manzil, along with 23 convicts, was convicted and sentenced life term rigorous punishment by Sateendra Singh ADJ-III in the Ara court. Manoj was taken into police custody soon after the court order. Manoj Manzil is bound to lose its MLA ship following the judgment and face disqualification from the Legislative Body. Manzil was slapped with a fine of 25,000.
In 2015 JP Singh murder case in which Manoj Manzil, including 23 people, was implicated in the murder case in Ara. One convict died in the court while he was facing trial. On August 20,2015,the killing of JP Singh had sent a Shockwave in Bihar. Nearly 9 years later the Ara court finally delivered its judgment.
