चीनी विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रवक्ता माओ निंग ने सोशल मीडिया पर जारी इन मैसेजों को लेकर प्रतिक्रिया दी और कहा, चीन ने इस पर भारत के समक्ष विरोध दर्ज कराने का काम किया है. मीडिया से बात करते हुए उन्होने कहा कि सबसे पहले तो यह कि ताइवान क्षेत्र में कोई राष्ट्रपति नहीं है. चीन ताइवान के अधिकारियों और चीन के साथ राजनयिक संबंध रखने वाले देशों के बीच सभी प्रकार की आधिकारिक बातचीत का विरोध करता है. दुनिया में मात्र एक ही चीन है…. ताइवान जो है वो चीनी गणराज्य का अविभाज्य हिस्सा है.
