राँची ।राजधानी राँची के डाेरंडा थाना की पुलिस ने पत्थररोड, मणीटोला निवासी व्यवसायी सुरेश विजय के घर में चोरी करने वाले इलेक्ट्रिशियन अजीत कुमार उपाध्याय को गिरफ्तार किया है।पुलिस ने बताया कि अजित ने व्यवसायी के घर से हीरे की अंगुठी सहित पांच अंगुठी, एक जोड़ा सोने का कंगन व चेन सहित लगभग पांच लाख के गहने चाेरी कर ली थी।इस केस के आइओ सिद्धेश्वर महथा ने उसे गिरफ्तार कर उसके पास से कंगन व चेन बरामद कर लिया। रविवार काे उसे जेल भेज दिया गया।आरोपी भी पत्थररोड, मणीटोला में रहता है,लेकिन मूल रूप से बिहार के औरंगाबाद, दाउदनगर का निवासी है। सुरेश विजय के घर में एक स्वीच बोर्ड लगाने के दौरान उसने आलमारी से गहने चोरी की थी।
इस सम्बंध में दारोगा सिद्धेश्वर महथा ने बताया कि तीन मार्च को ही गहने की चोरी हुई थी।सुरेश विजय की पत्नी ने जब दूसरी बार पार्टी में जाने के लिए गहने निकालने गयी तो अप्रैल में उन्हें चोरी की जानकारी हुई।उन्हाेंने पुलिस को बताया कि एक पार्टी से आने के बाद उन्होंने गहने आलमारी में रख दिया था और चाबी आलमारी से में लगा छोड़ कर भुल गयी थी।उस दिन इलेक्ट्रिशियन अजीत कुमार उपाध्याय स्वीच बोर्ड उसी कमरे में लगा रहा था।इस संबंध में सात अप्रैल को प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गयी थी।उसके बाद पुलिस अजीत से संपर्क करने का प्रयास करने लगी।अजीत को हिरासत में लेकर उससे पूछताछ की ताे उसने चोरी की बात स्वीकार की।उसने बताया कि दाउदनगर में तीन अंगुठी 23 हजार में बेच दिया था शेष गहने वह बाद में बेचता, उसके पहले पकड़ा गया।
वहीं जानकारी मिली है कि पहले दोनों पक्षों में बातचीत कर समझौता के पक्ष में था।लेकिन आरोपी अजीत ने चोरी के जेवरात देने में आनाकानी करने लगा।उसके बाद मामला दर्ज कराया गया।
