पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा उपचुनाव में, कांग्रेस ने रायगंज से मोहित सेन गुप्ता और बागदा से अशोक हलदर को चुनावी प्रतिष्ठा दिलाने के लिए टिकट दिया।
कांग्रेस ने पश्चिम बंगाल में हो रहे विधानसभा उपचुनाव के लिए रायगंज से मोहित सेन गुप्ता और बागदा से अशोक हलदर को अपने उम्मीदवार घोषित किया है।
पश्चिम बंगाल में विधानसभा की दो सीटों के उपचुनाव के लिए कांग्रेस ने प्रत्याशियों का ऐलान किया है। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के निर्देशानुसार, रायगंज से मोहित सेन गुप्ता और बागदा से अशोक हलदर का नामांकन किया गया है।
8 जुलाई को होने हैं उपचुनाव
आपको बता दें कि पश्चिम बंगाल की चार विधानसभा सीटों पर उपचुनाव होने वाले हैं. इनमें रायगंज, बागदा, मानिकतल्ला और राणाघाट दक्षिण की सीटों पर उपचुनाव होने वाले हैं. इन सीटों पर नामांकन करने की अंतिम तारिख 21 जून है.वहीं 26 जून को उम्मीदवारों के नामांकन लेने की अंतिम तिथि है. चुनाव आयोग ने उपचुनाव के लिए सारी तैयारियां कर ली है. बंगाल में चुनाव के दौरान हिंसा की रिवायत को देखते हुए केंद्र बलों की तैनाती की जाएगी. सूत्रों की मानें तो केंद्रीय बलों की 55 कंपनियां तैनात रहेगी. वोटों की गिनती 13 जुलाई को होगी.
क्यों हो रहे हैं उपचुनाव
कोलकाता के मानिकतल्ला में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के विधायक साधन पांडे के निधन के बाद यह सीट खाली हो गई थी. वहीं रायगंज से बीजेपी विधायक कृष्ण कल्याणी, बागदा से बीजेपी के विश्वजीत दास और राणाघाट दक्षिण से बीजेपी विधायक मुकुट मणि अधिकारी ने इस्तीफा देकर तृणमूल ज्वाइन कर लिया था. तीनों ने इस्तीफा देने के बाद तृणमूल के टिकट से लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ा. लेकिन तीनों नेताओं को हार का सामना करना पड़ा.
लोकसभा में बीजेपी को मिली थी करारी शिख्स्त
हाल में संपन्न हुए लोकसभा चुनाव में बीजेपी को बंगाल में करारी हार का सामना करना पड़ा था. 42 लोकसभा सीटों में बीजेपी को सिर्फ 12 सीटों पर जीत मिली थी वहीं टीएमसी ने 29 सीटों पर विजय प्राप्त की थी. कांग्रेस के सिर्फ 1 सीट प जीत मिली थी. कांग्रेस से बंगाल अध्यक्ष और लोकसभा में विपक्ष के तत्कालीन नेता अधीर रंजन चौधरी को भी हार का सामना करना पड़ा था.

Congress has announced candidates for the by-elections for two assembly seats in West Bengal. As per the instructions of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, nominations of Mohit Sen Gupta from Raiganj and Ashok Halder from Bagda have been made.
By-elections to be held on July 8
Let us tell you that by-elections are going to be held on four assembly seats of West Bengal. By-elections are going to be held on the seats of Raiganj, Bagda, Maniktalla and Ranaghat South. The last date for filing nominations for these seats is 21st June. The last date for filing nominations for the candidates is 26th June. The Election Commission has made all preparations for the by-elections. Central forces will be deployed in view of the tradition of violence during elections in Bengal. If sources are to be believed, 55 companies of central forces will be deployed. Counting of votes will take place on July 13.
Why are by-elections taking place?
This seat had become vacant after the death of Trinamool Congress MLA Sadhan Pandey in Maniktalla, Kolkata. BJP MLA from Raiganj Krishna Kalyani, BJP’s Vishwajit Das from Bagda and BJP MLA from Ranaghat South Mukut Mani Adhikari had resigned and joined Trinamool. After resigning, all three contested the Lok Sabha elections on Trinamool ticket. But all three leaders had to face defeat.

BJP got a tough rebuke in Lok Sabha
In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, BJP had to face a crushing defeat in Bengal. Out of 42 Lok Sabha seats, BJP had won only 12 seats while TMC had won 29 seats. Congress had won only 1 seat. Congress’s Bengal President and the then leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary also had to face defeat.
