भारतीय रेलवे एक सुपर एप लॉन्च करने की तैयारी में है। इस सुपर एप से कई सारे काम हो सकेंगे। रेलवे के सुपर एप से टिकट बुकिंग से लेकर ट्रेन को रियल टाइम में ट्रैक करने जैसे कई काम होंगे। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक इस एप पर कुल 90 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। वहीं इस काम में तीन साल से ज्यादा का वक्त लगेगा। रेलवे के सुपर एप को CRIS तैयार करेगा। CRIS रेलवे के लिये IT का काम करता है।वर्तमान में रेल टिकट बुकिंग के लिए IRCTC Rail कनेक्ट का इस्तेमाल होता है। फोन से टिकट बुकिंग के लिए फिलहाल यही एक आधिकारिक एप है। इस एप को 100 मिलियन से अधिक लोग इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। वहीं, PortRead, IRCTC Air, Rail Madad, TMS-Nirikshan, Satark और UTS जैसे एप्स भी हैं, जो रेल यात्रियों की मदद करते हैं। अब रेलवे इन सभी एप को एक ही एप में शामिल करने की तैयारी में है। भारतीय रेलवे ने कोहरे से बचाने की खातिर 20 हजार FogPASS डिवाइस तैयार किए हैं, इसकी मदद से लेट होने वाली ट्रेनों की संख्या में कमी आयेगी। फॉगपास एक पोर्टेबल डिवाइस है जो लोकोपायलट को भयंकर कोहरे की स्थिति में भी ट्रैक को लेकर जानकारी देती है।
