खरसावां, सूर्य देव के दरबार और संत की सूखी जीवन की कामना के लिए मनाए जाने वाले चार दिव्य छठ पर्व आज से नहाय_ खाय के साथ शुरू हो गया शनिवार को खरना हीगा, इस दिन व्रती निर्जला व्रत रखते हैं और शाम को पूरी विधि विधान पूर्वक पूजा के बाद खैर का प्रसाद ग्रहण करते हैं छठ व्रत 36 घंटे तक निर्जला व्रत रहेगा रविवार को अस्ता चल गामी व सोमवार को उदीयमान सूर्य की अपवित्रस्य देने के साथ महापर्व छठ पूजा होगी सरायकेला में विभिन्न प्रकार के हषीलास के साथ आस्था का महापर्व छठ मनाया जाता है काफी संख्या में छठ व्रती खरक ई नदी में, खरसावां की सुना नदी, आमदा की तलाव में पूजा किया जाता है इस अवसर पर सांसद प्रतिनिधि अमित केसरी ने कहा की भगवान भास्कर की मानस बहने है षष्टी देवी अथवेवेद के अनुसार षष्टी देवी भगवान भास्कर की मानस बहने है। प्रकृति के छठे अंश से षठी माता उत्पन्न हुई है इन्हें बच्चों को रक्षा करने वाले भगवान विष्णु द्वारा रची माया भी माना जाता है इस बच्चे के जन्म के छठे दिन छठी पूजा की जाती है ताकि बच्चे के ग्रह गोचर शांत हो जाए एक अन्य सिद्धांत के अनुसार भगवान कार्तिकेय की शक्ति देवी है।
