COTPA Act के तहत किसी भी शैक्षणिक संस्थान के 100 गज के दायरे में सिगरेट या किसी अन्य तंबाकू पदार्थों की बिक्री पर रोक है. इसे देखते हुए रांची के सदर अनुमंडल दंडाधिकारी द्वारा दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता की धारा-144 के तहत प्रदत शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए रांची सदर अनुमंडल क्षेत्र के सभी निजी (प्राइवेट) एवं सरकारी स्कूलों, कॉलेजों एवं विश्वविद्यालय (यूनिवर्सिटी) के 100 गज की परिधि में निषेधाज्ञा जारी की गयी है.
60 दिनों के लिए प्रभावी है निषेधाज्ञा
कोई भी व्यक्ति सिगरेट या अन्य तंबाकू उत्पाद नहीं बेचेगा. बिक्री के लिए पेश नहीं करेगा. बिक्री की अनुमति नहीं देगा.
यह निषेधाज्ञा अगले 60 दिनों के लिए प्रभावी रहेगा.

Under the COTPA Act, there is a ban on the sale of cigarettes or any other tobacco products within 100 yards of any educational institution. In view of this, the Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Ranchi, using the powers given under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, within a radius of 100 yards of all private and government schools, colleges and universities of Ranchi Sadar Sub-Division area. Prohibitory order has been issued.
Prohibitory order is effective for 60 days
No person shall sell cigarettes or other tobacco products. Will not be offered for sale. Will not allow sale.
