नीतीश कुमार के नेतृत्व में जदयू-एनडीए गठबंधन सरकार के गठन के पांच दिन बाद भी मंत्रिमंडल विस्तार, विभागों के आवंटन और राज्य विधानसभा में विश्वास मत हासिल करने की तारीख तय करने को लेकर अनिश्चितता बनी हुई है। ऐसी अटकलें लगाई जा रही हैं कि आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में जेडीयू और एनडीए के बीच सीटों के बंटवारे के मुद्दे के अलावा गृह और सामान्य प्रशासन को लेकर भी नीतीश और एनडीए के बीच खींचतान चल रही है. विधानसभा चुनाव में कुमार के नेतृत्व वाली एनडीए सरकार द्वारा विश्वास मत की तारीख को टालना आश्चर्यजनक है। गुरुवार को जारी एक आधिकारिक अधिसूचना में कहा गया है कि एनडीए सरकार 12 फरवरी को विश्वास मत हासिल करेगी। एनडीए ने स्पीकर अवध बिहारी चौधरी को हटाने की भी घोषणा की है, जो राजद नेता हैं और लालू प्रसाद यादव के करीबी माने जाते हैं। कहा जाता है कि उस दिन एक नया वक्ता आएगा।
विश्वस्त सूत्रों का कहना है कि बहुप्रतीक्षित कैबिनेट विस्तार विश्वास मत के बाद होने की संभावना है। जल्द ही नीतीश कुमार के साथ शपथ लेने वाले आठ मंत्रियों को विभाग आवंटित किया जा सकता है. इस पद के लिए कई दावेदार हैं, जिनमें एनडीए के पुराने और नए चेहरे दोनों शामिल हैं। हालाँकि, इन सभी को खुश रखना बिल्कुल भी आसान नहीं है। ऐसा लगता है कि नई सरकार में सब कुछ ठीक नहीं चल रहा है, क्योंकि विधानसभा में विश्वास मत की तारीख में नीतीश कुमार की ओर से देरी हो रही है।

Uncertainty still persists over the expansion of cabinet and allocation of portfolios and fixation of date for seeking trust of votes in the state assembly even after five days of formation of JDU-NDA combine government led by Nitish Kumar. Speculation is being made that there is tussle between Nitish and NDA over home and general administration besides issue of seats sharing between JDU and NDA in upcoming lok sabha election. Deferring the date of a trust vote by the Kumar led NDA government in the assembly election is surprising. An official notification issued on Thursday said that the NDA government will seek a vote of trust on February 12. NDA has also announced the removal of the Speaker Awadh Bihari Chowdhary who is a RJD leader considered to be close to Lalu Prasad yadav, the election of a new speaker is said to take place on the day. Reliable sources say much awaited cabinet expansion is likely to happen after the trust vote. Soon the portfolio may be alloted to eight Ministers who had taken oath along with Nitish Kumar. There are many aspirants for the berth, both old and new faces from NDA. However, it is not at all easy to keep all of them happy. It sounds like everything is not hunky dory in the new government, for the date of trust vote in the assembly is being delayed by Nitish Kumar.
