वेस्ट बंगाल न्यूज: एडिनो वायरस ने फैलायी पश्चिम बंगाल में दहशत, 24 घंटे में 5 बच्चों की हुई मौत

कोलकाता.  बुखार और सांस लेने में तकलीफ की वजह से पिछले 24 घंटे में राज्य में पांच बच्चों की मौत हो गयी है. कलकत्ता मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में दो और डॉ बीसी राय पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ पेडियाट्रिक साइंसेस में तीन बच्चों की मौत हुई है

जानकारी के अनुसार, कलकत्ता मेडिकल कॉलेज में जिन दो शिशुओं की मौत हुई है वे उत्तर 24 परगना के मध्यमग्राम और हावड़ा के उदयनारायणपुर के रहने वाले थे. उदयनारायणपुर का रहने वाला शिशु 6 माह का था. नाम आदित्य दास है. अस्पताल सूत्रों के अनुसार, वह जन्म से ही दिल की समस्या से जूझ रह था. उसके दिल में छेद था. इस बीच सर्दी, खांसी, बुखार के साथ उसे पहले इलाज के लिए उदयनारायणपुर प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में पांच फरवरी को भर्ती कराया गया.

एडिनो बरपा रहा है कोलकाता में कहर

इसके बाद बेहतर चिकित्सा के लिए 23 फरवरी को मेडिकल कॉलेज के चाइल्ड एंड मदर केयर हब में भर्ती कराया गया. डॉक्टरों ने बताया कि आदित्य एडिनो वायरस इंफेक्शन से पीड़ित था. मंगलवार सुबह 7.30 बजे उसकी मौत हो गयी. उसे सर्दी-जुकाम भी था. वहीं मध्यग्राम का रहने वाला शिशु भी छह माह का था. मंगलवार सुबह वेंटिलेशन पर उसकी मौत हो गयी. उधर, बीसी राय अस्पताल में तीन बच्चों की मौत हुई है. मरने वाले बच्चे हरिनघाटा, देगंगा और हुगली जिले के रहने वाले थे. इसी के साथ राज्य में एडिनो वायरस से अब तक करीब 30 बच्चों की मौत हो चुकी है. गौरतलब है कि बच्चों में एडिनो वायरस आमतौर पर श्वसन और आंत्र नलिका में संक्रमण का कारण बनता है

2 से 5 साल के बच्चों को खतरा अधिक

चिकित्सकों ने कहा कि 0-2 साल की उम्र के बच्चों को संक्रमण का सर्वाधिक व 2-5 साल की उम्र वाले बच्चे को संक्रमण का अधिक खतरा होता है. 5-10 साल के बच्चों के इसके (संक्रमण के) चपेट में आने की आशंका होती है. 10 साल से अधिक उम्र के बच्चों के इस वायरस से संक्रमित होने का कम खतरा होता है. उन्होंने कहा कि सावधानी बरतनी चाहिए क्योंकि ज्यादातर मामलों का घर पर ही इलाज संभव है.

सीएम ने सरकारी और निजी अस्पतालों को दिये विशेष यूनिट खोलने के निर्देश

महानगर सहित जिलों में एडिनो वायरस का कहर बढ़ता जा रहा है. इससे ग्रसित होने वाले बच्चों की संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है. इसे देखते हुए मंगलवार को मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने राज्य सचिवालय नबान्न में मुख्य सचिव व स्वास्थ्य सचिव सहित अन्य अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की. बैठक के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अधिकारियों से कहा कि कोरोना काल की तरह इस बार भी आपातकालीन स्तर पर सरकारी और निजी अस्पतालों में विशेष यूनिट खोलनी होगी.

साथ ही अस्पतालों में चिकित्सा के सभी उपकरणों की व्यवस्था करनी होगी. अभी राज्य सरकार अगले सात दिनों तक हालात पर नजर रखेगी. उसके बाद ही पाबंदियों को लेकर कोई निर्णय होगा
राज्य सचिवालय के सूत्रों के अनुसार, बैठक में फिलहाल किसी प्रकार की पाबंदी लगाने पर कोई निर्णय नहीं लिया गया. लेकिन स्कूल, शॉपिंग मॉल, इंटरटेंमेंट पार्क, सिनेमा हॉल सहित अन्य जगहों पर बच्चों को मास्क पहना कर रखने व निरंतर सैनिटाइजर का उपयोग करने की सलाह दी गयी है. मुख्यमंत्री ने बैठक के दौरान ही स्वास्थ्य विभाग को नयी गाइडलाइन जारी करने का निर्देश दिया. मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देशानुसार स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने एडवाइजरी जारी कर दी है

On the other hand, three children have died in BC Rai Hospital. The children who died were residents of Haringhata, Deganga and Hooghly districts. Children aged 2 to 5 years are more at risk

Doctors said that children of 0-2 years of age are most at risk of infection and children of 2-5 years of age are at high risk of infection. Children of 5-10 years of age are most likely to fall prey to it (infection). Children above 10 years of age are at less risk of getting infected with this virus. He said that caution should be taken as most of the cases are treatable at home.
