2001 के संसद हमले की बरसी पर एक बड़े सुरक्षा उल्लंघन में, दो लोग बुधवार को लोकसभा में घुस गए और कनस्तर खोल दिए जिससे पीला रंग का धुआं निकला।

टेलीविज़न फ़ुटेज में उन्हें एक डेस्क से दूसरे डेस्क पर कूदते हुए और सदन के वेल की ओर जाते हुए दिखाया गया। सदन के अंदर मौजूद सदस्यों ने बाद में संवाददाताओं से कहा कि वे ‘ताना शाही नहीं चलेगी’ जैसे नारे लगा रहे थे। उन्हें हिरासत में लिया गया है.

लोकसभा में कांग्रेस के नेता अधीर रंजन चौधरी ने कहा: “दो युवक गैलरी से कूद गए और उनके द्वारा कुछ फेंका गया जिससे गैस निकल रही थी। उन्हें सांसदों ने पकड़ लिया, (और) उन्हें सुरक्षाकर्मियों द्वारा बाहर लाया गया। सदन की कार्यवाही दोपहर 2 बजे तक के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई. यह निश्चित रूप से एक सुरक्षा उल्लंघन है क्योंकि आज हमने उन लोगों की बरसी मनाई है जिन्होंने 2001 में अपने प्राणों की आहुति दी थी।”

In a major security breach coming on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, two men entered Lok Sabha Wednesday and opened canisters that emitted a yellow-coloured smoke.

Television footage showed them jumping from desk to desk, and appeared to be headed towards the Well of the House. Members present inside the House told reporters later that they were chanting slogans such as ‘tana shahi nahi chalegi’ (dictatorship won’t be accepted). They have been detained.

Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said: “Two young men jumped from the gallery and something was hurled by them from which gas was emitting. They were caught by MPs, (and) they were brought out by security personnel. The House was adjourned till 2 pm. This is certainly a security breach because today we observed the death anniversary of people who sacrificed their lives in 2001.”
