आईसीसी (ICC) में चार मुख्य अंग शामिल हैं:
अध्यक्षता: न्यायालय के समग्र प्रशासन के लिए जिम्मेदार, अध्यक्षता न्यायालय की गतिविधियों के कुशल संचालन को सुनिश्चित करती है.
न्यायिक प्रभाग: प्री-ट्रायल, ट्रायल और अपील प्रभागों में विभाजित, ये न्यायिक कार्यवाही के संचालन के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं. इन प्रभागों में न्यायाधीशों का चुनाव राज्यों की विधानसभा द्वारा किया जाता है.
अभियोक्ता का कार्यालय: यह अंग न्यायालय के अधिकार क्षेत्र में अपराधों की जांच और अभियोजन करता है. अभियोक्ता का चुनाव राज्यों की विधानसभा द्वारा नौ वर्ष के कार्यकाल के लिए किया जाता है.
रजिस्ट्री: न्यायालय के प्रशासन और सेवा के गैर-न्यायिक पहलुओं के लिए जिम्मेदार, जिसमें गवाह संरक्षण, बचाव पक्ष के वकील और हिरासत सुविधाएं शामिल हैं.

Launch of the International Criminal Court
The day commemorates the establishment of the International Criminal Court (ICC) with the ratification of the Rome Statute on July 17, 1998. The ICC plays an important role in prosecuting individuals responsible for serious crimes such as genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Structure and functioning of ICC
The ICC consists of four main organs:
Presidency: Responsible for the overall administration of the Court, the Presidency ensures the efficient conduct of the Court’s activities.
Judicial Division: Divided into pre-trial, trial and appeal divisions, these are responsible for the conduct of judicial proceedings. Judges in these divisions are elected by the legislature of the states.
Prosecutor’s Office: This organ investigates and prosecutes crimes under the jurisdiction of the Court. The Prosecutor is elected by the Legislative Assembly of the states for a term of nine years.
Registry: Responsible for non-judicial aspects of the administration and service of the court, including witness protection, defense counsel, and detention facilities.
