इन तीन हस्तियों को भारत रत्न सम्मान…
भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री चौधरी चरण सिंह, पीवी नरसिम्हा राव और MS स्वामीनाथन को देश का सबसे बड़ा नागरिक सम्मान भारत रत्न दिया जायेगा। इन तीनों हस्तियों को मरणोपरांत यह सम्मान मिलेगा। देश के 5वें प्रधानमंत्री रहे चौधरी चरण सिंह ने किसानों की भलाई के लिए पूरे समर्पण भाव से अपना योगदान दिया। वहीं पूर्व PM पीवी नरसिम्हा राव के बारे में PM मोदी ने लिखा कि “प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में नरसिम्हा राव गारू का कार्यकाल महत्वपूर्ण उपायों द्वारा चिह्नित किया गया था, जिसने भारत को वैश्विक बाजारों के लिए खोल दिया, जिससे आर्थिक विकास के एक नए युग को बढ़ावा मिला।” वहीं हरित क्रांति के जनक कहे जाने वाले स्वामीनाथन को कृषि और किसानों के कल्याण किये गये उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए भारत रत्न मिलेगा।
