*कोठे में जन्मी खूबसूरत सिंगर, यहीं से सीखा संगीत और बनीं बॉलीवुड की पहली सुरों की मल्लिका, 3 बार रचाई शादी*
*मुंबई :* आज से 100 साल पहले के भारत में मनोरंजन के साधन दूसरे थे. अमीर लोगों के लिए नाच और गाना देखने का कोठा एकमात्र साधन हुआ करता था. लेकिन धीरे-धीरे कोठों की प्रसिद्धि घटने लगी और फिल्मों ने मनोरंजन की जिम्मेदारी उठा ली. समय बीता और साधन बदले फिल्मों का माध्यम सशक्त होने लगा. फिर फिल्मों में कहानी के साथ गाना और नाच की भी अहम भूमिका होने लगी. 1930 के दशक में भारत में क्रांति की आग जल रही थी, ब्रिटिश हुकूमत के खिलाफ जंग छिड़ी थी. इसी दौर में फिल्मों का व्यापार भी अपने शवाब पर आने लगा. एक महिला संगीतकार ने भी फिल्मी दुनिया में अपनी एंट्री ली. ये संगीतकार बला की खूबसूरत थी और बचपन से ही कोठे में संगीत की तालीम ले चुकी थीं. कोठे में ही इनका जन्म हुआ था. इस महिला संगीतकार ने अपनी कला का ऐसा बीज बोया जो आज 100 साल भी हरभरा पेड़ बनकर लहरा रहा है. बॉलीवुड की इस पहली महिला संगीतकार का नाती आज सुपरस्टार है. अब तक तो आप जान ही गए होंगे कि हम बात कर रहे हैं ‘जद्दनबाई’ की.
जद्दनबाई सुरों की मल्लिका थीं. जब कोठे पर उनकी महफिल लगती तो बड़े-बड़े लोग अपनी सुध भूल जाते थे. सुरों की इस मल्लिका की दीवानगी में जमींदार अपनी जायदाद लुटाने को भी तैयार रहते थे. साल 1892 को बनारस की दलीपबाई तबायफ के कोठे में जन्मी जद्दनबाई का बचपन संगीत की महफिलों में बीतने लगा यहीं से संगीत की शिक्षा और सुरों की साधना शुरू हुई. बचपन से ही संगीत की तालीम और तहजीब के बीच बड़ी हुईं जद्दनबाई ने भी सुरों की मल्लिका बनने का फैसला लिया. इसके बाद खुद भी गाने लगीं.
चंद सालों में जद्दनबाई मशहूर सिंगर बन गईं. जद्दनबाई की गायकी के हजारों लोग दीवाने हो गए. अमीर लोग अपनी-अपनी जागीरों से मन बहलाने जद्दनबाई के यहां आया करते थे. जद्दनबाई जब जवानी में प्रवेश करने लगीं तो उनकी महफिलें हिट होती रहीं. इसके बाद लगातार प्रसिद्धि बढ़ गई. फिल्मों की दुनिया भी लगातार पैर पसार रही थी. जद्दनबाई ने भी फिल्मों का रास्ता तय करने का फैसला लिया.
साल 1935 में रिलीज हुई फिल्म ‘तलाश-ऐ-हक’ में गानों को कंपोज किया और खुद ही आवाज दी. यही वो साल था जब बॉलीवुड को पहली महिला संगीत कंपोजर बन गईं. जद्दनबाई ने खुद की म्यूजिक कंपनी खोल ली. साल 1936 में फिल्म ‘हृदय मंथन’, 1937 ‘मोती का हार’ और 1949 में ‘दरोगाजी’ जैसी फिल्मों में संगीत दिया.
*जद्दनबाई का जलवा फिल्मी दुनिया में भी चलने लगा.* जद्दनबाई की दीवानगी लोगों के सिर चढ़कर बोलती थी. दूर-दराज से अमीर लोग जद्दनबाई से शादी का सपना लिए आते और सुरों का पान कर निराश लौट जाते. जद्दनबाई ने पहली शादी नरोत्तम से हुई. पहली शादी से जद्दनबाई को बेटा अख्तर हुसैन हुआ. लेकिन कुछ दिनों बाद ही नरोत्तम भाग गए और फिर कभी नहीं लौटे. इसके बाद जद्दनबाई ने दूसरी शादी कोठे पर सारंगी बजाने वाले मियां खान से की. इस शादी से जद्दनबाई को दूसरा बेटा अनवर खान पैदा हुआ.
लेकिन जद्दनबाई की दूसरी शादी भी टूट गई और रईस मोहनबाबू से तीसरी शादी रचाई. इस शादी से बेटी नरगिस का जन्म हुआ. नरगिस जो आगे चलकर बॉलीवुड की सुपरस्टार बनीं और उनकी दीवानगी हर हीरो के लिए मशहूर रही. नरगिस ने अभिनेता सुनील दत्त से शादी की और संजय दत्त हुए. जद्दनबाई का नाती संजय दत्त आज बॉलीवुड के सुपरस्टार हैं. जद्दनबाई का निधन 8 अप्रैल 1949 को हो गया. आज भी जद्दनबाई के नाम की महफिलों के किस्से याद करते है.

Born in the year 1892 in the brothel of Dalipbai Tabaif of Banaras, Jaddanbai’s childhood was spent in music festivals, it was from here that her education in music and practice of tunes started. Jaddanbai, who grew up surrounded by musical education and culture since childhood, also decided to become the queen of tunes. After this she herself started singing.
Jaddanbai became a famous singer in a few years. Thousands of people became crazy about Jaddanbai’s singing. Rich people used to come to Jaddanbai’s place to relax from their respective estates. When Jaddanbai started entering adulthood, her concerts continued to be a hit. After this his fame increased continuously. The world of films was also continuously expanding. Jaddanbai also decided to follow the path of films.
Composed the songs in the film ‘Talaash-e-Haq’ released in 1935 and gave voice to it himself. This was the year when Bollywood became its first female music composer. Jaddanbai opened her own music company. Gave music in films like ‘Hridaya Manthan’ in 1936, ‘Moti Ka Haar’ in 1937 and ‘Darogaji’ in 1949
Jaddanbai’s magic started spreading in the film world also.* Jaddanbai’s craze was very popular among the people. Rich people from far and wide would come with the dream of marrying Jaddanbai and after drinking her charms would return disappointed. Jaddanbai’s first marriage was with Narottam. Jaddanbai had a son, Akhtar Hussain, from her first marriage. But after a few days Narottam ran away and never returned. After this, Jaddanbai got married for the second time to Mian Khan, who played Sarangi at the brothel. From this marriage, second son Anwar Khan was born to Jaddanbai.
But Jaddanbai’s second marriage also broke and she got married for the third time to rich man Mohan Babu. Daughter Nargis was born from this marriage. Nargis, who later became a Bollywood superstar, was famous for her passion for every hero. Nargis married actor Sunil Dutt and had Sanjay Dutt. Jaddanbai’s grandson Sanjay Dutt is a Bollywood superstar today. Jaddanbai died on 8 April 1949. Even today we remember the stories of gatherings in the name of Jaddanbai.
