कोडरमा से लोकसभा चुनाव जीतकर अन्नपूर्णा देवी को मोदी कैबिनेट में केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। पहले यह विभाग स्मृति ईरानी के पास था।
अन्नपूर्णा देवी को कोडरमा से लोकसभा सांसद चुना गया है, और इस बार उन्हें मोदी कैबिनेट में महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। वे केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त की गई हैं, जो दूसरी बार लोकसभा चुनाव जीतने के बाद हुई है। इस उच्च स्थान पर पहुंचने के साथ ही, उन्हें प्रमोशन भी मिला है। पहले उन्हें मानव संसाधन मंत्रालय का राज्य मंत्री का पद था। इस बार उन्हें कैबिनेट मंत्री का दर्जा प्राप्त हुआ है। यह ध्याननीय है कि स्मृति ईरानी को मोदी 2.0 के दौरान अमेठी से हराकर मोदी कैबिनेट में शामिल किया गया था और उन्हें भी यही विभाग सौंपा गया था। बीजेपी को जातीय समीकरण साधने के लिए अन्नपूर्णा देवी को प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। अन्नपूर्णा देवी ओबीसी समुदाय से संबंधित हैं, और 2019 में उन्हें मानव संसाधन मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था। 2019 में अन्नपूर्णा देवी ने कोडरमा सीट पर बाबूलाल मरांडी को हराया था, जिसमें उन्होंने 3 लाख 77 हजार 14 वोटों की जीत हासिल की थी।
