बीजेपी अध्यक्ष जे पी नड्डा ने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफ़ॉर्म ‘एक्स’ पर लिखा है कि वे लोग जो आज भारतीय लोकतंत्र के संरक्षक होने का दावा करते हैं, उन्होंने संवैधानिक मूल्यों की रक्षा के लिए उठाई गई आवाजों को दबाने का कोई मौका नहीं छोड़ा। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने इस बारे में कहा है कि 1975 में लगाई गई इमरजेंसी भारतीय लोकतंत्र के लिए एक काला अध्याय है, जिसे चाह कर भी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता। उन्होंने ‘एक्स’ पर एक पोस्ट साझा की और कहा कि सत्ता के दुरुपयोग और तानाशाही का खुला खेल उस समय खेला गया था।
