*सरस्वती शिशु विद्या मंदिर महालीमोरूप में मनाया गया राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक दिवस*

सरायकेला प्रखंड अंतर्गत मुरूप पंचायत के माहलीमोरूप में अवस्थित सरस्वती शिशु विद्या मंदिर में सादे समारोह में शिक्षक दिवस का आयोजन किया गया । विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य योगेश प्रधान ने सर्वप्रथम डॉ सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के चित्र पर पुष्प व अगरबत्ती जलाकर श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित करते हुए नमन किया। तत्पश्चात समस्त आचार्यगण व भैया बहनों ने बारी-बारी से पुष्प अर्पित कर नमन किया।
कार्यक्रम का संचालन विद्यालय परिवार के आचार्य देवीदत्त प्रधान ने किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने बताया कि साल 1962 की बात है, जब डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन ने भारत के दूसरे राष्ट्रपति के रूप में पदभार संभाला तो उनके कुछ पूर्व छात्र उनके पास पहुंच गए और 5 सितंबर को उनका जन्मदिन मनाने की अनुमति मांगी। इस पर उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि उनका जन्मदिन मनाने की बजाए इस दिन सभी शिक्षकों के सम्मान के लिए शिक्षक दिवस मनाया जाना चाहिए। इसके बाद तत्कालीन सरकार ने इस दिन को शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में घोषित कर दिया और तभी से हर साल 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा। बता दें कि डॉ. राधाकृष्णन ने एक बार कहा था कि *”शिक्षकों को देश में सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिमाग वाला होना चाहिए।”* वहीं, साल 1954 में उन्हें भारत रत्न से सम्मानित किया गया था।
सभा को विद्यालय के आचार्य प्रशांत कुमार मंडल , आचार्य तपन कैवर्त जी ने भी संबोधित किया। इस अवसर पर काफी संख्या में भैया बहनों ने आचार्यों को उपहार भेंट कर आशीर्वाद लिया।
Teacher’s Day was organized in a simple ceremony at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir located in Mahlimorup of Murup Panchayat under Seraikela block. School Principal Yogesh Pradhan first paid homage to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by lighting flowers and incense sticks. After that, all the Acharyas and brothers and sisters took turns offering flowers and paying obeisance.
The program was conducted by Acharya Devidutt Pradhan of the school family. During this, he told that it was in the year 1962, when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan took over as the second President of India, some of his former students reached out to him and sought permission to celebrate his birthday on 5th September. On this, he suggested that instead of celebrating his birthday, Teachers’ Day should be celebrated on this day to honor all teachers. After this, the then government declared this day as Teacher’s Day and since then every year September 5 started being celebrated as Teacher’s Day. Let us inform that Dr. Radhakrishnan had once said that *”Teachers should have the best minds in the country.”* At the same time, in the year 1954, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna.
The meeting was also addressed by Acharya Prashant Kumar Mandal, Acharya Tapan Kaivart ji of the school. On this occasion, a large number of brothers and sisters presented gifts to the Acharyas and took their blessings.
