कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन की तस्वीर पर दीप प्रज्वलित और पुष्प अर्पित कर नमन किया गया । प्रधानाध्यापिका शांकी मार्डी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि आज का दिन राष्ट्र निर्माता शिक्षकों को समर्पित है वहीं दूसरी ओर शिक्षकों को भी कर्तव्य बोध करता है कि वे अपने विद्यार्थी को आदर्श विद्यार्थी बनाऐ जो अपने कर्म का नाम रोशन करें । अध्यापिका श्रीमती कल्पना महतो ने जीवन में गुरु शिष्य के संबंध पर प्रकाश डाला , जीवन के हर कदम पर एक गुरु का मार्गदर्शन अत्यंत आवश्यक है , इसलिए हर विद्यार्थी को अपने सुंदर व्यक्तित्व के निर्माण के लिए गुरु के मार्गदर्शन के लिए हमेशा तत्पर रहना चाहिए । व्यक्ति के सफल जीवन शिक्षक का अमूल्य योगदान होता है सभी छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा दोनों शिक्षकों को टीका लगाकर उपहार भेंट किये ।
